What should I do if the screen shows a loading circle on a black background?
If a player is unable to connect to the network, the screen will display a black background with a loading circle at the center of the screen. This indicates a lack of connection.-
- Solution:
- Check the Ethernet port of the Brightsign player. If connected and online, the port will light up and flicker. If it isn't flickering, it isn't connected to the internet/network.
- Check the connection with a laptop that has a network port to see if the laptop receives a connection through the same cable. Ensure the laptop's Wi-Fi is turned off to test only the Ethernet connection.
- If the laptop can access the internet through the cable but the Brightsign player cannot, the Brightsign player may be defective and should be replaced.
- Note that replacing the unit should be the final step after ruling out all other possible causes.
