1. Setup overview

FXGYM Multiscreen displays Funxtion content across one or more screens.

The setup is named FXGYM MS1 to FXGYM MS6, depending on the number of screens.

A standard setup includes:

• One BrightSign player per screen
• One ProDVX control tablet (including casing)
• The required power, HDMI and network cabling

2. Installation requirements

1. Before installation, make sure the location has:

   • Suitable mounting positions for all display screens
   • A fixed and accessible position for the 22-inch ProDVX control tablet
   • 1× 230 V power connection for each BrightSign media player and the control tablet
   • 1× wired Ethernet connection for each BrightSign media player and the control tablet
   • 10–20 Mbps of available bandwidth per network connection
   • An available HDMI input on each display screen
   • Safe and tidy cable routing

   Wi-Fi, guest networks, extension cables and temporary power solutions should not be used for a permanent FXGYM Multiscreen installation.

3. Display screen placement

1. Make sure that:

   • Participants can clearly see the screen
   • The screen is protected from accidental damage
   • There is enough space behind or near the screen for the BrightSign media player
   • Cables and connected devices cannot easily be reached or damaged

4. BrightSign media player placement

Each display screen requires one BrightSign media player.

Install each media player behind or near its corresponding display screen. Place it in a secure location where it cannot easily be touched, unplugged or damaged, and leave enough space for ventilation and cable connections.

5. 22” ProDVX control tablet placement

1. Install the 22” ProDVX control tablet in a fixed, accessible location at approximately eye height.
   
2. Make sure power and wired Ethernet are available at the tablet location.
   

6. Connect the hardware

Connect the BrightSign media player as follows:

1. HDMI from the BrightSign media player to the display screen
   
2. Ethernet/UTP from the BrightSign media player to the network outlet.
   
3. Power adapter from the BrightSign media player to the power outlet
   
4. Turn on the display screen and select the correct HDMI input/source.

6.2 Install the 22” ProDVX control tablet

Use the photos below as a visual guide for installing and connecting the 22” ProDVX control tablet.

Step 1: Open the casing

Unlock and open the 22” casing.

Step 2: Mount the backplate

Remove the backplate, place it against the wall, mark the holes, and mount it securely.

Use a spirit level to make sure it is straight.

Step 3: Prepare the display

Insert the supplied bolts into the back of the ProDVX display.

Step 4: Connect the ProDVX display

• Connect the required cables to the ProDVX display:

  • LAN — Ethernet/UTP cable
  • DC IN — 12V power cable

Optional: Connect the RFID reader

If an EGYM RFID reader is used, connect it to the USB port on the ProDVX display and place the reader inside the casing.

Step 5: Place the power supply and organize the cables

Place the power supply inside the lower part of the casing.

Route the power and network cables through the bottom opening and keep the cables tidy.

Slide the tablet onto the mounted backplate.

Step 6: Close the casing

Check that the tablet is seated correctly on the backplate.
Close the casing and lock it.

7. Firewall and network access

Each BrightSign media player must be allowed to connect outbound to BrightSign Network.

Allow the following network access:

Destination:

*.funxtioninteractive.com

Direction: outbound

The customer or IT administrator must make sure this access is available before installation. Without this access, content updates and synchronization may not work correctly.

Network switches

Do not use a passive Ethernet splitter to connect multiple devices to one network cable. Use a powered Ethernet switch when additional network ports are required.

8. Audio

The setup supports audio via:

- HDMI audio
- 3.5 mm analog audio output

If external audio is used, make sure the audio equipment is ready to connect.

9. Final installation check

The installation is complete when:

• All display screens are powered on.
• Each display is set to the correct HDMI input.
• Each screen displays content from its assigned BrightSign media player.
• The ProDVX control tablet shows the FXGYM Multiscreen interface.
• The control tablet and all BrightSign media players are connected through wired Ethernet.
• A workout can be selected and started from the control tablet.
• The correct content appears on all assigned screens and zones.
• The screens start and progress together.
• Audio works correctly, if used.
• The EGYM RFID reader works correctly, if included in the setup.
• All media players and cables are securely installed.
